Creative Creatures

Who doesn't like to create something? You may not think you got in the creative gene line, but every single one of us are creative in our own way. Whether we like to write, sculpt, paint, sing, dance, sew, decorate, cook, photograph, video, make soap ;), etc ... you get the 'picture'. We all have some creativity in us! Maybe you haven't yet discovered what that is. Maybe it's something that we have to work real hard at and doesn't necessarily come naturally. That's okay!

There's something very rewarding and good for the soul about producing something that we created! Especially if it's something we can share with others - like an amazing meal, an inspiring book, or a beautiful painting. It's said that taking the time to be creative can create substantial happiness in us, the kind that lasts longer than the pleasure we get from eating a cookie (as good as that is!).

Is it any wonder that we are creative creatures? After all, the One who created us is the ultimate Creator. And we are created in His image! In the Bible, a form of the word 'create' is mentioned over a hundred times!
