How It All Started

Probably like most people, in years past I never gave much thought to the quality of the 'stuff' I was using (or the foods I was eating for that matter); from body products, shampoos, toiletries, soaps, and even every day household cleaning products. I started to realize that what we put on our body is as important as what we put in it. After all, our skin is our largest organ, so it's probably a good idea not to douse it with chemicals every day!
As my eyes were opening to the importance of reducing toxins in and on our bodies, I had a frightening reality in regard to the cleaning products I was using as well. One day I was cleaning bathrooms and had to carry the toilet bowl cleaner across the house to the other bathroom. Along the way a drop of cleaner dripped on my foot as well as the carpet. It burned my foot and literally melted the carpet fibers where it landed! Wow! I remember thinking that's not something I want in my house!
It was a gradual process as I started to slowly change one thing at a time; and it still continues to this day really. Because let's face it, change doesn't happen overnight! How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!
It's been said that the difference between those that are health conscious and those that are not is that the health conscious will die with a bad taste in their mouth! (Get it? From eating kale etc..funny right?)

While it's true that none of us will get out of here alive, and it may not even lengthen our lives, the quality is priceless!
